How Much Does A Website Cost?

Updated: Oct 21, 2020

As you can imagine, we get asked quite often, "How much does it cost to build a website?"

It’s a good question that we want to answer as straightforward as possible, because there isn't a “one-size fits all solution” for every business owner. And we've been around long enough to warn you to run away from any web designer who lowballs you (remember, you get what you pay for) or doesn't offer a comprehensive discovery process. (To read about the discovery process we go through with our clients go to How We Work on our home page here.)

Most business owners make a decision based on price because they simply don’t know any other way to shop around for a website. Unfortunately, they usually end up with an underperforming site that disappoints and in the long run hurts business. We've seen it so many times. Making a price-based decision is exactly why most websites fail.

Here’s what we can assure you:

We price our web designs for you and your business at the intersection of affordability and effectiveness. We start our entire process with a business consultation session, which is designed to get know you, your business, and your ideal client better. It also ensures that we have a deep understanding of your goals, desires and long-term vision for your company. It's the strong foundation we start with in order to create a site that's aligned with who you are and what you do.

This business consultation session alone is a highly valuable process for you and your business, because you finally get answers to your questions and it sets you up for future online success and growth.

Don't ask how much will it cost. Ask how much will it improve your business.

Then, we start the design process.

We take all the information distilled from our business consultation session and begin creating the high-performing site you deserve. And here’s the most important part for you to know: your site is professionally built based on your business DNA, not just shopping around based on price.

THIS is how you get a site that makes life easier for you and makes you more money.

We have created our process to educate you quickly and effectively so that you can make empowered, informed choices about what you need and want for your business website. This way you aren't simply choosing the cheapest option because you don't have any other basis for making your decision.

Now, having said all that, you probably want to know a range of what an EastCamp Creative professional website design will cost.

With all of that background in mind:

  • A website Review and Checkup is complimentary. Zero dollars. Free. Simply email us your website link with a note of what you don't like about your current site and we'll send you back an analysis and report of your home page where we see improvements need implemented. We cover design elements, user functionality (UX), links, keywords, and content.

  • If you already know your site needs upgrading our design options start with a long page scroll for $997. This includes five sections (You can customize what you'd like those sections to be however we recommend Hero, About, Services, Information, and Contact). This is an excellent, affordable option for a new business owner just starting out or if you don't have a ton of content and just need a nice place to send people to learn more about you and your business. (Hosting fee is additional and typically runs about a couple hundred dollars a year.)

  • Our custom design options for a comprehensive website (new or update of your existing website) ranges between $3,000 and $10,000. Fully custom coded sites typically start at $10K+ depending on functionality needed. If you've been in business awhile but know your site could be converting better or if you're just starting out and know you need an impressive launch to gain market share, this is a great place to start. And the best part is, with EastCamp Creative you will actually choose your own fee based on your budget and the options that are most important to you and your business. Typically, our quote will include three levels of pricing based on your needs so you can choose which one fits you best.
